Meet Our Team

Raul opened his CPA firm in 1993 serving a large number of small business owners. When Raul is asked, "What do you do?" He answers, "I fix problems." During the past 20 years Raul has applied his knowledge of the IRS tax code to save his clients over $500,000 in federal income taxes.

Raul enjoys fishing, golf, traveling, Bible study, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2010 and served until January 2013. During his one term in office he passed the first of its kind legislation SB 563 that has the ability to save the state of Texas over $10 billion a year in reduced spending. For his efforts he was recognized by various organizations. He was selected as Legislator of the Year by the Texas Municipal League, Top Ten Legislator Award by the Texas Association of Benefit Administrators, “Fighter of Free Enterprise Award” by the Texas Business Association, and Defender of the American Dream” by Americans for Prosperity - Texas.

Raul is an author of two books: Texas Tomorrow: An Economic Plan for Texas in the 21st Century and “Winning Now: A Playbook for Good Government.” Both books are available on all the major online bookstores.

Emma moved from China six years ago to attend Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Since that time she has graduated with her Masters of Accountancy in December 2014 as well as a Bachelor’s Degree with major in Accounting. Her next goal is to prepare for and past her CPA exam and pursue a career in the Accounting field. Emma enjoys traveling and reading. One of her favorite quotes is by Laurie A. Helgoe who wrote, "Reading is like travel, allowing you to exit your own life for a bit, and to come back with a renewed, even inspired, perspective." To have a great book to read after a busy day at work and to have time to travel one or two times a year are two things Emma plans on doing throughout her life. As for now, her life is truly blessed.

Robert served eight years in the United States Marine Corps as a Field Artilleryman and Recruiter. Afterwards he attended Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi where he obtained his BBA in Accounting. Robert loves the abundance of outdoor activities that South Texas and the Corpus Christi area offers fishing, hunting, and our local beaches. He is also an avid reader and enjoys continuing his education in not only Accounting but various other disciplines. Robert’s goals are to continue to gain a broader knowledge of accounting principles and tax rules and regulations while preparing to obtain his CPA license

I loved what I was doing in terms of helping many fearful and stressed taxpayers resolve their IRS tax debt.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the tax resolution industry firsthand dealing with one case at a time.

The Early Years

It all began about 25 years ago when I found myself dealing with the IRS for the first time. At the time, I was not aware that the IRS had the power to be a brutal force to be reckoned with when it came to issue of taxpayers unable to pay their federal taxes.  In fact, I wasn’t aware that IRS would actually negotiate to resolve the tax debt of individuals and businesses who owed them large amounts of money. In those early days, I believed that taxpayers had only one option: to pay their taxes.

Since then, I’ve learned a lot more about the IRS. The best fact I’ve learned is the fact that the IRS will take a huge debt and settle with a person (as long they meet specific qualifications) for a fraction of what they owe is simply a phenomenal opportunity for many taxpayers. Sadly, millions of American taxpayers are still unaware of this fact because the IRS does not generally promote this fact or program.

The Reason Why I Started Freedom Tax Debt Relief

Since 1995, I have had my fair share of hearing many horror stories from taxpayers who told me of their experience with other tax resolution providers.  The stories all shared the same storyline. First, they all say they paid thousands of dollars up front to a company who promised to help them resolve their unpaid taxes with the IRS. Second, the company gather information from the taxpayer and in many cases, the taxpayers couldn’t get a return phone call form anyone in the company regarding their questions or concerns. Lastly, the company failed to deliver on their promises leaving the taxpayer with little or no financial benefit from their services.

Complaints could be found all over the Internet as if there as a true crisis brewing in America. That is when I realized that there was a great need in the marketplace for a client focused company.  A company that was committed to a fully transparent process with a firm taxpayer guarantee.  This is where the idea of Freedom Tax Debt Relief came to my mind and so we made it happen.

Today, just like the story of David and Goliath, our small company with only a few employees compete every day against the giants in the industry. Despite this huge disadvantage in size God has blessed our company with talented and dedicated staff and with a growing number of new clients each new year that need our services. For all his blessings we are eternally grateful to him for he does for our clients and our business.
